The R&D activity is based on the mastery of electronic, optical and mechanical technology. Many applications also require software development and sophisticated algorithms. Our engineers and technicians have the use of modern equipment and test devices adapted to development using the latest technology. Our priority for the coming years is to systematically deploy eco-design methods in our R&D cycles.

Our integrated production is supported by a trained and experienced team that masters automated manufacturing techniques. FARE employees are aware of the need for quality improvement and permanently contribute to the improvement of production processes. Our surface wiring workshop (SMD), which has a capacity of 2,200,000 components per week, produces our product electronic boards. Each manufactured board is subjected to a systematic camera check.

Optical inspection makes it possible to check the fitting and soldering of each CMS component. Of a size of less than a few millimetres, only high precision machinery can effectively carry out the necessary checks and inspections. These checks make it possible to significantly increase the manufactured board quality and guarantee that the manufactured products are 100% compliant.

This is FARE’s main activity, with an annual production capacity of one million detectors organised using a semi-automatic line. The detectors can be customised to the target markets and the clients. Production flexibility makes it possible to customise products to the brands and colours required by clients (all RAL colours are available). FARE uses its Sefalog logistics base to maintain a large stock available for its clients and to deliver them anywhere in the world.

In its will to optimise the company’s human potential, FARE has an employee training policy that goes much further than the legal minimum. The training plan is used to increase skills and contribute to professional achievement for all, while developing the company’s skills. FARE has also created strong links to the local academic network and takes on a large number of interns and apprentices of diverse origins and skills. These youngsters undergoing professional training bring a breath of fresh air to the teams and dynamise the projects they work on.
